Paper Folk

Art Direction, Brand Identity, Illustration

Paper Folk is a small paper goods and itinerary shop located in Almonte, Ontario. Emily wanted to create something that was fun, friendly, and playful— but also wanted something that could highlight the unique and high quality goods she carrys in the shop.

The character is a one of a kind piece that can be used in tandem with the title of the business, on its own, and even broken down to his cheeky smile. The brand references vintage animation styles reminiscent of Fliescher Studio, and pulls typographic inspiration from supermarket flyers, and Honest Ed’s thrift store signage.
